Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Sales Engineer with a strong background in IT sales, particularly in embedded systems, IoT, software development, cloud and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product and services sales, with the ability to understand complex technical solutions and effectively communicate their value to clients. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and providing technical expertise throughout the sales process.

Key responsibilities:

  • Pro-active analysis of Digital Engineering and embedded opportunities in the target business lines and identify potential customers
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the IT sector, focusing on embedded systems, IoT solutions, software development, AI/ML, cloud and mobile applications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions that leverage our products and services.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to ensure proposed solutions meet client needs.
  • Prepare detailed quotations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Achieve prospecting and other sales process goals designed to build an optimal sales pipeline.
  • Personally develop strong, long-term relationships and referrals with Director & VP level executives at targeted firms.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a pre-sales and sales engineer or in a similar role within the IT industry for USA, Middle East, European and/or Indian market.
  • Strong technical knowledge of embedded systems, IoT, software development, mobile AI/ML and cloud applications.
  • Experience in building C-suite / SVP / VP level relationship
  • Able and willing to develop client base in new territory via aggressive prospecting
  • Ability to drive value added proposals, kickoff projects, and complete account handling
  • Good technical skills to carry out the first level of technical discussions with prospective customers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Education Criteria:

  • B.E./B.S./B.Tech in Engineering | MBA preferred
